The #linearBOHO is an A-line style dress with outstanding features that make it anything but basic. Featuring a curved yolk with shirring (which is also echoed in the cuff), the rounded shape is also visible in the hankerchief high-low hemline. Because of the Rayon Modal stretchy fabric (a new update on this version), the style is not stiff or tent-like and drapes really well. A matching belt (great for adding more structure or emphasizing a growing belly) and pockets round out the other new additions to this style.
If you have owned one of the previous iterations of this style, please refer to the new size chart seen here as the fit is a bit more generous thanks to the stretchy fabric.
Your chest/shoulder area will guide you as to which size to choose as the curved yolk gets wider as you size up. If you are broad in that area (larger/wider chest shape) you may want to size up for the curve to sit correctly above your breast bone. The smaller size may still fit your body overall (because of the a-line shape and width of fabric), but the shirring at the curved yolk will be less prominent as it will be stretched out more by your chest. If you are smaller at top, you can definitely size down.
The chart below is based on overall fit from customer try-ons before this style was released. If the size is prefaced by the word 'small', it is referencing your chest/shoulder area. For example, if you are a 6 on top and narrower in your chest but an 8 on bottom, you can still try the XS. If you prefer a more relaxed fit or need additional length, size up.

LENGTH/WIDTH GUIDE: Approximate lengths from shoulder to front hem at its shortest point. All measurements are taken when dress is on a flat surface. Approximate chest/hips measurements are measured across. Double for complete circumference.
GUIDE TO FINDING YOUR MEASUREMENTS:
LENGTHS- Place a measuring tape at the center point of one of your shoulders (Also known as HPS- High Point Shoulder). The '0' (zero) on the tape should be your starting point. Drop the tape and let it hang. It helps to look in a full length mirror to determine the length that suits you (If you prefer above, on or below the knee). For reference, average lengths (depending on your height) fall between 37-41inches on size XS. Since everyone's torso/leg lengths are different (even if two people are the same height), coverage length can never be exact. For all styles, we list the approximate lengths of our dresses measured from HPS. Please check the lengths to see if they work for you.
WIDTHS: Chest- Position the '0' (zero) of the measuring tape underneath one armpit aligning it as much as possible with the center part of your bust. Wrap around the circumference of your chest area until the tape matches point zero from the backside. Keep in mind that knits (stretchy styles) can accommodate widths that are broader than the listed dimensions due to fabric forgiveness, while wovens (fabric with minimal or no stretch) will only 'give' to a certain point. Usually, patterns are adjusted to work for sizing when the fabric is woven.
Hips- Repeat steps for measuring Chest, but start at the widest point of hips.
Arms- Repeat steps for measuring Chest, but start under armpit and measure around biceps
