Model is 5'9 and wears size XS.
The #linearREIGNLUXE is an updated version of our original REIGN dress. The major update is the length of the exterior cape which now hits below the knee. (The original ended at the hip). As a result, the draping/flow have more of a 'Luxe' feel.
In keeping with the original, there is a fitted dress underneath which is approximately 3/4 inch shorter than the cape.
The fitted dress portion of this frock is meant to hug the curves when you opt for your true size. Consider the size you would choose in a standard fitted/body hugging style when choosing from the size on the chart. The fitted dress is covered when you wear the cape in its original form. If you choose to convert the dress to the 'vest' option, please keep in mind that the back of the fitted part of the garment will be exposed.
If you prefer extra wiggle room (meaning you don't want the dress to be as fitted as its true size), we suggest sizing up. Please keep in mind, the cape will have more 'flow' if you choose to size up.
This fabric has a 'heathered' effect due to the intertwining of the base color threads with an alternate thread variation. Please see close up of fabric for details.
The model is not wearing a slip in these photos, but you can try the #linearMIDISLIP in sleeveless if you prefer additional coverage. (Recommended when worn as vest option when not wearing nude colored undergarments).
LENGTH/ WIDTH GUIDE: Approx lengths for the REIGN LUXE dress are taken from center of shoulder to the bottom hem of cape. Double the width for complete circumference around the fitted body dress attached underneath the cape. All measurements are taken when dress is on a flat surface. Please keep in mind that the fabric is stretchy.
GUIDE TO FINDING YOUR MEASUREMENTS:
LENGTHS- Place a measuring tape at the center point of one of your shoulders (Also known as HPS- High Point Shoulder). The '0' (zero) on the tape should be your starting point. Drop the tape and let it hang. It helps to look in a full length mirror to determine the length that suits you (If you prefer above, on or below the knee). For reference, average lengths (depending on your height) fall between 37-41inches on size XS. Since everyone's torso/leg lengths are different (even if two people are the same height), coverage length can never be exact. For all styles, we list the approximate lengths of our dresses measured from HPS. Please check the lengths to see if they work for you.
WIDTHS: Chest- Position the '0' (zero) of the measuring tape underneath one armpit aligning it as much as possible with the center part of your bust. Wrap around the circumference of your chest area until the tape matches point zero from the backside. Keep in mind that knits (stretchy styles) can accommodate widths that are broader than the listed dimensions due to fabric forgiveness, while wovens (fabric with minimal or no stretch) will only 'give' to a certain point. Usually, patterns are adjusted to work for sizing when the fabric is woven.
Hips- Repeat steps for measuring Chest, but start at the widest point of hips.
Arms- Repeat steps for measuring Chest, but start under armpit and measure around biceps.

Whether you are standing, dancing or singing in the REIGN, you'll love this cape/vest/dress combo! Featuring a drop-shoulder attached cape creation, this 3-way dress has got you covered (literally, and in all the 'right places' too). What makes this updated version LUXE is the extended cape which makes for a most dramatic drape!
-Slip on this slim fitting frock (with sleeves, of course!) and let the cape do the talking (while you're walking). There are convenient elbow-length arm hole openings to allow for easy movement (because who are you kidding..you NEED to dance, right?).
-Move on up hierarchy of haute looks by belting the cape in its original form. Lift it up above the belt just a a bit to show off more of the slim fit.
-Ready for a more regal approach? Keep your arms under the cape; It's a royal option that works for...everybody.
-When it's time for a change, pull the back of the cape over your shoulders. You'll like this look, for 'shawl' ;)
Embrace the drape by belting at the waist. Voila! Your inVESTment is visible.
-This ribbed knit fabric has the perfect amount of stretch. It's a great option for expecting mamas too. Whether you aren't ready to tell or are ready to pop, this style will do all the work for you. (Size up if you are in your 3rd trimester.)
